Each day at Gray Wolf is a fresh start. For residents, it’s another chance—another step forward on the path to a meaningful and purposeful life. Residents take an active part in their own recovery journey at Gray Wolf, and our days are a mixture of therapy, inspiring programs, physical activity, and electives.

Each resident develops his own schedule with the help of our staff based on his interests and needs, but the basic schedule is as follows:

THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE PROGRAM

THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE PROGRAM

Each resident has a vast degree of freedom and flexibility in designing his schedule, but the following therapeutic activities are always recommended.

  • Individual counseling sessions
  • Group counseling sessions
  • AA meetings in Port Townsend and the surrounding area
  • Minimum of two Wilderness Treks and additional trek activities in extended care
  • Formal participation in the Gray Wolf Academy
  • Develop a curriculum of electives, apprenticeships, or volunteer programs in extended care
  • Prep & eat dinner together as a community
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

There are an unlimited number of programs and activities for residents to participate in during their stay at Gray Wolf. Here are just a few.

  • Weekend outings
  • Solo treks (after at least one group trek experience)
  • Volunteer work in the Port Townsend community
  • Athletic center with fitness assessments and personal training
  • Gray Wolf Academy
  • Art or music classes
  • Yoga, mindfulness, and meditation
