Registration Deadline:
Tuesday 2/16/10.
Trip Description: Join us for 3 days and 2 nights of skiing and snowboarding on the world’s snowiest mountain. Mt. Baker continues to hold the world record for the greatest snowfall in a single season (1,140 in.) and boasts a greater snowpack than surrounding resorts (over 200 inches just in November ’09 alone). Connect with other alumni, play in one of the most picturesque resorts in North America, and refuel on Chef Scott’s cuisine that you so desperately miss.
Logistics & Schedule: All participants must arrive at GWR by 5:30AM on 3/18/10 (Thursday) to catch the early ferry. We’ll drive to Mt. Baker that morning and ski most of the day Thursday, all day Friday, and most of the day Saturday. Dinner and breakfast Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be prepared by Chef Scott Molyneaux, and we’ll meet for lunch each day on the mountain (lunch not included). After our last day of skiing on Saturday, we’ll grill tailgate style in the parking lot before heading down the mountain to Port Townsend where the trip will officially end.
Travel Arrangements: If you need assistance with flights or ground transportation from Seattle (Sea-Tac Airport), Jean’s House of Travel in Port Townsend can help: (800) 895-2688 or (360) 385-6250.
Cost: $480. Includes lodging, ground transportation from GWR to Mt. Baker and back, lift tickets and dinners and breakfasts Thursday (3/18) through Saturday (3/20). Lunches, ski/snowboard rentals, snacks, and ground transportation to and from Seattle are not included. Please bring adequate funds for these expenses. Clothing, gloves, and ski goggles are available for no charge from the GWR Trek Center.
Deposit: 50% Tuition ($240) is due with registration. Tuition in full is due 30 days prior to the trip (2/16/10)
