When I met Peter Boeschenstein, his vision
was very clear: he wanted a place where young men could
come, continue in their struggle with recovery, and explore
the new gifts of freedom and responsibility that recovery
brought. He wanted to build a program that was based
on respect and dignity; one that fostered commitment
and responsibility; one that could channel the energy
and vitality of the young men who participated; an d
one that included a clear respect for the power of the
devastating disease of chemical dependency.
Peter used his experience as a chemical dependency
counselor to design and build Gray Wolf Ranch - both
the house and the program. He worked diligently to
ensure that Gray Wolf Ranch would be an accepted
member of the community. He assembled a professional
staff which is committed to a high level of client
care-a supportive team of counselors and technicians
who provide an atmosphere where each resident can
develop his own strengths, learn to trust himself,
make responsible choices, and experience the trials
and triumphs of sobriety. He made sure that the young
men would learn the life skills that would help them
to maintain a sober lifestyle after leaving Gray
Wolf Ranch. |
