A Vision for Recovery

WHAT MAKES GRAY WOLF RANCH OUTSTANDING?

  • Our house was designed and built specifically to accommodate the recovery program, and our setting takes advantage of the healing powers of the natural environment.

  • Our staff includes certified, professional counselors and technicians, with an average of one staff person for each four residents. Team members include Dr. Kathreen Gimbrere, an M.D. specializing in adolescent medicine, and Dr. Bruce Tapper, a psychologist.

  • We limit our number of residents to twelve to allow us to provide high-quality, personal care.

  • We integrate the 12-Step Alcoholics Anonymous / Narcotics Anonymous program into each individualized treatment plan.

  • We emphasize a healthy blend of work, school, chores, and recreation into the daily schedule.

  • We offer GED programs through Peninsula College and have a board-certified teacher and tutor on staff.

  • We make extensive use of wilderness outings - day hikes, ropes courses, kayaking, and sailing - to teach teamwork and to provide an opportunity for safe, therapeutic challenges.

  • We are licensed and certified through the Washington State Department of Health and the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
