reached a point beyond the initial start up phase. We are now
operating at capacity as a fully functioning, diverse, and successful
agency. We have admitted over 75 residents and our With Staff
Approval discharge ratio is now approaching 80%.
Our progress has allowed us to begin construction on a 2000
square foot annex which will provide additional on-site recreational
equipment for our clients. This addition is located approximately
500 ft. west of the Lodge and is scheduled for completion in
May of 1999. Four additional beds will also be provided allowing
capacity for 17 residents total. Concurrently, a trek staging
pavilion is also being built.
In this issue of the PATHFINDER you will find several new
editions of our more popular bylines. These include the latest
from "Buck's Corner" and a new "Resident's Perspective".
We also will be introducing two more staff members including
Laura Serra from our support staff and our Hazelden trained
counselor; Kris Kampf.
GWR's wilderness treks have evolved into a vital part of our
curriculum. Almost all of our followup work with our graduates
indicates that the treks through the Olympic Peninsula are
among the most memorable and rewarding part of residency.

I am prouder than ever to be associated with Gray Wolf Ranch.
Our nationally based clientele continue to show us that young
men, when offered the right environment, do want to stay sober.
Their successes upon graduation have allowed us to begin to
formulate various alumni activities which will be announced
in our summer edition of the PATHFINDER. To our referents,
I say thank you for building a trusting, professional relationship
with us. To our clients, I say that we are humbled and honored
to work with you. We look forward to serving both for years
to come. |
