At Gray Wolf we search for qualified, dedicated individuals
to fill our staff positions. In this issue we'd like to
introduce you to two of them.
Alex
Borton has been looking after GWR's Trekking Program
since the first trek in early 1998, and has 12 years
of experience as an outdoor educator. Prior to settling
in Port Townsend, Alex was an instructor for the National
Outdoor Leadership School, leading 30 day educational
expeditions in the Rockies, North Cascades and Mexico.
Personal travel has brought him around the world, and
to summits over 20,000 feet in Nepal and Argentina.
Besides his calling to the mountains, Alex is an avid
sailor, and still teaches occasionally in the San Juan
Islands and Baja, Mexico.

Joy Goodrich, Financial Case Manager, has lived
in Port Ludlow for 23 years. She and her husband moved
to Port Ludlow from Tacoma to be nearer to the San Juan
Islands and the great sailing. She operated her own business
in Port Townsend for 18 years and sold it in 1996. At
Gray Wolf she works with the residents' families in managing
the financial part of their stay. She is on the boards
of the East Jefferson Rotary Club and the Jefferson County
Chapter of the American Red Cross. In Port Ludlow she
enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening
and sailing.
