if it is approved by your Trek Leader.
Clothing: rain jacket and pants; wind shirt and pants; fleece jackets, vests
and pants; headlamps, hiking boots
Equipment: backpacks, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
Group gear:tents or tarps, stoves, cooking gear, water purification tablets,
hand sanitizer, repair materials, first aid kits
Note: Check with your Trek Leader if you wish to bring anything that is not
on this list. Cameras and light books are generally permissible. Radios or
disk-men are not. Swiss-Army type pocketknives are OK, anything larger is not.
NO COTTON Cotton is the most effective material for cooling the body and takes
forever to dry when it gets wet. With the exception of a T-shirt in summer,
it is a poor choice to bring cotton into the backcountry.
